SUNDAY SCHOOL begins every Sunday morning at 11:10. We have something for every age group! Join us.
If you'd like to purchase a lily for Easter Sunday, please locate the form in the Missive section of this website, or pick one up at church, or just call the office!
Membership & Fellowship and Christian Education are happy to host the St. Patrick's Day Green Pancake Breakfast on March 17!! The youth will be making and serving. A freewill offering will be accepted, and all donations will help support the Youth Mission Fund.
IT'S TIME ONCE AGAIN TO START THINKING ABOUT THE SILENT AUCTION! April 11th is the day, so you have plenty of time to think about what you'd like to donate for the auction. Auction forms can be picked up at the church, or you can get a copy from the Missive section of this website. Call Julie Pausch, 349-7443, or Jane Morrow, 343-2833, with any questions.
Please remember that we are going to continue asking for our church wish list. Things like tissues, TP, soap refills, copy paper, coffee, cookies, sidewalk salt, or any other items that we might regularly use in the life of the church, are always welcome and a great help in these economic times.
CHILDREN'S WORSHIP!!! Kids, age 3 through 5th grade, pack your bags and get ready for the ROUTE 66 road trip during Children's Worship on Sunday morning! Each sunday morning while the children are downstairs, they will be learning about the 66 books of the Bible ~~ the author, key people, and key stories in each book. They will also learn all of the books of the Bible! So get ready for the road trip of a lifetime!
We are looking for people who might have an interest in recording the worship service on Sunday mornings. This job isn't difficult, WE WILL TRAIN YOU, and as long as you're at church anyway, what could it hurt to try? Give Julie in the office, or Larry Langshaw a call if you'd like to help. And thank you.
The Presbyterian Women have their Study Circle on the 4th Wednesday of each month thru June. ANY woman is so very welcome to join us!
RUMMAGE SALE ----- RUMMAGE SALE ----- RUMMAGE SALE ----- RUMMAGE SALE April 16th - 9 to 3 and 5 to 7; and October 17th - 9 to 11:30. You can bring in any rummage you might have April 13-15. Would you like to join CONNECTED THREADS? If you like to knit or crochet, it's Tuesday mornings from 10 to noon as friends enjoy making prayer shawls, slippers, sweaters, etc. If you aren't too sure you know how to knit or crochet, let those who DO know help you!
Adult Bible Study! Join Mark and friends from 9 to 11 every Thursday throughout the school year. It's a fun, interesting, casual look at the bible. Lots of laughter with fun folks!
In your offering envelopes there is a single BLUE envelope that is specially marked for your Per Capita Apportionment. This amount is $23.08 per member. If we all pay for our share and our family's, this will greatly help the almost $10,000 we pay to the Lake Michigan Presbytery. Thanks!
March 15th was designated as "EXTRA MILE SUNDAY". During worship, we asked the congregation to give above their General Fund pledge to help fund three projects. The Missionary Fund, the Carillon Fund, and the Pastor's Sabbatical Fund. This effort began with the need to create a fund for Mark's sabbatical this summer in recognition of his 20 years of service to our church. This is an ongoing fund for use in the future. We also would like to help with Deng Thon Alier's (Samuel) missionary work in Sudan, and thirdly to replace the carillon bells so they may ring more than just the hour across our village. Julie has special envelopes in her office for any or all of the 3 funds, or just send a check to the church with a note or memo as to where the money should go. Thank you. YOU CAN GIVE TO ANY OR ALL OF THESE FUNDS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, JUST SEND A CHECK TO THE CHURCH WITH A MEMO AS TO WHAT IT'S FOR.
"The Oral History Project that brought World War II to life for a new generation: moveover, it has built bridges between generations in our church. We hope that publication of the book will be a source of pride for our congregation, and that it will be a lasting contribution to the historical record." Pat Hanavan, editor
This wonderful book of recollections by our congregation and friends has been reprinted. Copies are available from the church office for $10 each. (It makes a great gift!) Please call 629.4944 for more information.
