The Ash Wednesday worship service begins at 7:00 p.m. (February 22) :)
THE ANNUAL MEETING WILL BE JANUARY 29th FOLLOWING CHURCH SERVICE ~ AROUND 11:10. A WONDERFUL POTLUCK WILL FOLLOW. ALL ARE WELCOME!
DO YOU HAVE AN INTEREST IN BEING THE PERSON WHO READS SCRIPTURES AND PRAYERS ON SUNDAY? IF YOU'D LIKE TO BE A LITURGIST, PLEASE CALL CAROLINE GRAY AT 629-9216 OR THE CHURCH OFFICE, 629-4944.
Please remember that we are going to continue asking for our church wish list. Things like tissues, TP, stamps, soap refills, copy paper, coffee, cookies, sidewalk salt, or any other items that we might regularly use in the life of the church, are always welcome and a great help in these economic times.
The Spring Rummage Sale will be here before you know it!! APRIL 20 from 9 to 3 and 5 to 7, and APRIL 21 from 9 to 11:30. Of course before then, we have lots of work to do! Like cleaning out our basement, attic, closets, garage, shed, etc. You can bring your gently used items April 17, 18, & 19 from 9 to 5 and 6 to 9.
We are looking for people who might have an interest in recording the worship service on Sunday mornings. This job isn't difficult, WE WILL TRAIN YOU, and as long as you're at church anyway, what could it hurt to try? Give Julie a call if you'd like to help. And thank you. 629-4944
Would you like to join CONNECTED THREADS? If you like to knit or crochet, it's Tuesday mornings from 10 to noon as friends enjoy making prayer shawls, slippers, sweaters, etc. If you aren't too sure you know how to knit or crochet, let those who DO know help you!
In your offering envelopes there is a single BLUE envelope that is specially marked for your Per Capita Apportionment. This amount is $24.38 per member. If we all pay for our share and our family's, this will greatly help the over $8000 we pay to the Lake Michigan Presbytery. Thanks!
"The Oral History Project that brought World War II to life for a new generation: moveover, it has built bridges between generations in our church. We hope that publication of the book will be a source of pride for our congregation, and that it will be a lasting contribution to the historical record." Pat Hanavan, editor
This wonderful book of recollections by our congregation and friends has been reprinted. Copies are available from the church office for $10 each. (It makes a great gift!) Please call 629.4944 for more information.
